St. Vrain FC Recreational Soccer
The defining character of recreational soccer is that all children ages 3 1/2-14 who sign up, play regardless of skill level or abilities. The emphasis of our Recreational Program is on skill development and having fun.  Everyone on a team plays 50% of the game, regardless of skill level or abilities.

Recreational Leagues are organized by age group where teams are made up of children of similar age or grade in school. Leagues are played two seasons a year fall and spring. Fall Season generally runs mid-August through October, while the Spring Season runs mid-March through May.

The "U" listed before an age group indicates "under", meaning that children playing in that league are under the age. For example: the U4 age group is for children that are 4 and under that season.
Children can begin playing in the fall season if they have turned 3 by July 31 of that calendar year. Each Fall your child moves up in age group.

St. Vrain FC Programs

The Micro Coed soccer program introduces both boys and girls to soccer on a small field with parent referees. The rules have been simplified and the playing field is small to encourage the run and kick philosophy of a fun game. Micro Coed soccer teams are comprised of U4 - U6.  At U7 boys and girls are separated.

At the U8 age group, the game is advanced with regulation field markings, and a center referee is provided. The players are taught more of the rules, but the team size still remains small to encourage individual skills development. U9’s and U10’s may elect to play at the next level of skills development and team competition, namely in the Interleague or Option 1 level of play.

Interleague teams start at U9 and Option 1 teams start at U10.  Both are available for individuals (and teams) who wish to match their skills against teams from other soccer clubs within the surrounding area. The interleague program is coordinated by the Flatirons Interleague Group and the Colo. Youth Soccer coordinates the Option 1 program.  Both groups create the games schedules for their respective program.
