Steve Lepper - Director of Coaching

Steve joined St. Vrain FC in January of ’08 as the Director of Coaching.  He arrived from the Boulder County Force soccer club, where he served as the Director of Coaching for Junior Boys.

Steve has coached players of all levels and abilities, from the smallest U4 players to current Collegiate and Professional players.  Steve is the Varsity coach at Niwot High School, where he led the Cougars to the State Championship game in the fall of 2008, the best finish in school history.  He also served as the Assistant Coach for the Colorado Rapids U23’s, a semi-professional team that plays in the PDL (Professional Development League).

Prior to his coaching Career, Steve played 4 years of college soccer and played semi-professional soccer.  He played at Hope College (DIII) in Holland, Michigan, where he was twice named to the All-MIAA team, and was named captain his senior year.  Steve also played for the West Michigan Edge of the PDL where he was team captain.  Prior to that, Steve played for the Midland Soccer Club and Dow High School in Midland, Michigan.

Steve has a USSF "B" License and the NSCAA Premier Diploma.  He has bachelors degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and a Masters Degree in Athletic Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. Mike Clayton - Assistant Director of Coaching / Technical Director

Mike joined St. Vrain FC in June of ’08 as the Assistant Director of Coaching.  He comes to us from Fort Collins, CO where he coached for the Ft. Collins Arsenal and CORE soccer.  He has coached various ages and abilities over the years and his most recent achievement was taking the Arsenal U18 boys to the Regional Championships after they were a State Finalist.  One season before taking the Boys to Regionals he was named Coach of the year for the High School Girls age group by the Fort Collins Arsenal.

Previously, Mike played for the Colorado State University Men’s (NIRSA) soccer program for four years and has played in the PASL (Arena Soccer).  Prior to college, Mike played for Classic FC and La Cueva HS in Albuquerque, NM.

Timothy Laxson - Administrative Director

Timothy joined St. Vrain FC in December of ’08 as the Administrative Director.  Previously, he was coaching at Pride Soccer Club in Colorado Springs.

Timothy holds a USSF "C" License, an NSCAA Regional Coaching Diploma, and an NSCAA Professional Development Certificate.  He has coached many club teams of different ages and abilities, and has coached at numerous soccer camps including the Air Force Soccer Camp and the Welsh Soccer Academy.  Timothy is fluent in Spanish and is a tremendous attribute to St. Vrain FC as both an administrator and a coach.

As a player, Timothy played for the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (DII) and spent a number of years playing semi-professional for the Colorado Springs Ascent (PDL).  He was also invited to tryout for a number of professional team, including Celaya FC, Leon, and Oaxaca FC in Mexico.  He holds a bachelors degree in Sociology, and can be reached at 303.651.3109 x 100 or timothy@stvrainfc.com.


Michelle Maes - Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant

Michelle joined St. Vrain FC in August of 2005 as Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant. She has served as a volunteer Secretary on the Board of Directors.  She has 2 players (a son and a daughter) that have gone completely through the St. Vrain soccer program.  Both her son and daughter have played for the Club at the Recreational and Competitive levels, and also for Skyline High School.  She has volunteered with the Competitive teams over the years assisting the Team manager and Treasurer, and served as a Tournament Coordinator and Chaperone.
