Competitive Program Overview
Welcome to St. Vrain FC!
- This program is for those players who desire to compete at the highest level of soccer. Players must have a strong desire to maintain good physical conditioning, increase their skill levels while striving to improve the quality of the team. St. Vrain FC players often go on to play at the high school and/or college level.
- U11 and above - gender based teams
- Teams are formed through a try-out process where players are grouped according to age and skill level. Tryouts for the U11-U14 age groups and High School girls are held in May. Tryouts for High School boys are held in Nov.
- St. Vrain FC teams play in the Colorado Youth Soccer League. Home games are played in Longmont while away games are played within Colorado and Southern Wyoming.
- Because of the team dynamics, it is expected that players make a one year commitment to St. Vrain FC (from the begining of the Fall season to the end of the Spring season).
- Game and practice attendance is crucial unless prohibited by injury or other serious cause.
- Teams practice two to three times a week for 1 1/2 hours and may participate in additional scrimmages or training sessions.
- Coaches are licensed professionals who strive to continue to improve their caliber of competition.
- Participation in this program requires a high degree of commitment from both players and parents due to increased practice times, registration fees, uniform requirements, travel outside the local area and mandatory tournament participation.
- Families of St. Vrain FC players have the option of offsetting the cost of registration and tournament fees through family and/or team fundraising.
