Have you ever seen a match where the club was unable to cover the game with three certified officials? It’s great when mom or dad can jump in to help out, but is it fair tothe kids not to have three officials on each game?
St. Vrain FC is asking for your support of our weekend games, in both the recreational and competitive divisions. As you know, referees are extremely important and we just don’t have enough. Imagine if one parent and one player from each team got certified…..we would always have enough officials.
A clinic will be held Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Westview Middle School in
Longmont. Class starts promptly at 9 am and will finish at 6 pm. To register for thisclass, you must sign up on the state referee website, www.CoReferees.Orgon theClinics and Events page.
Statistics show that the knowledge gained from being an official will have a tremendous impact on your enjoyment and success in the game of soccer, so we strongly urge coaches, players and parents to become officials!

At this point, in order to be placed on a team for the Fall 2010 season, you must:
(1) Obtain written permission from the coach that your son/daughter can be added to their team.
(2) Come into the office (1517 Main St. Ste D2, Longmont) and register manually.
... if you don’t know any coaches and want to register, you can come into the office and speak with us. We will see if there is any space on any teams, and we can contact the coach and see if they will accept another player.

It is our goal to develop players at the younger ages so as they continue to grow and mature, they will possess the skills necessary to play at the highest level possible. We feel that by teaching them individual skills at the younger ages, they will be empowered and confident as they grow thus progressing as a player.
