*** Players ARE allowed to play up an age group if they are grade appropriate, and they have been playing up for at least one season.
Kick A Rounds
The Kick A Rounds are completely optional and are meant to be fun. There is no pressure on the players and Kick-a-Rounds are a great way for kids to get "pre-tryout jitters" out of their system. They are a chance for the players to get on the field and enjoy the game, and another chance for parents to ask any questions regarding tryouts, as well as meet the training staff.
This will be another opportunity to pre-register for tryouts.

The Importance of Try-outs
Try-outs are an important part of player development. In order to facilitate a proper training environment, it is necessary to make sure that players are grouped by ability. That way they are taught the skills necessary to push them on to the next level, whatever that may be. If all players are ready for a particular topic, there is less frustration in a players inability to do something or boredom from a player not being challenged enough. This also helps with the process of of placement within the state leagues. Again, it is our goal to make sure that every player has the opportunity to play at the level they are most comfortable with to maintain our wish that players love the game for life.
Players are evaluated on the following:
1 – Technical Abilities – Receiving and First Touch, Dribbling (Control and Speed), Finishing, Passing
4 – Mental – Desire, Competitive Spirit, Work Rate
Players begin Day 1 in small-sided (such as 3v3/4v4) games, so that the technical abilities show through activities geared toward more opportunities to be on the ball. The activities will gradually increase in numbers through the final day so that Tactical, Physical and Mental strengths are more easily visible.
